Anyway, I promised a few days ago that I'd post some pictures of the owl things I've been doing. Here they are:
Yesterday afternoon when we were out, I managed to get to a little store in Watertown, called Dream Beads, that I've been trying to visit since early this summer when I discovered that it was there. It's a fantastic little store with a brilliant inventory, very helpful staff, and many fabulous classes and events going on all the time. Their prices are competitive, very reasonable. (Check out their website! They do internet orders!)
I fell in love with so many things, but could only afford a lovely handful. Here's a sneak peak:
Carved rose beads; gold-plated maple leaf findings; fire agate rounds; Swarovski-like rondelles; snakeskin jasper and Picasso jasper beads; and yet more fire agate rounds. I really adore fire agate. The texture is so velvety smooth and natural looking.
I haven't been able to do anything with them yet (which may be a blessing in disguise) because of flu, but I can't wait to play with them!
Anyhow, rest now... Beads maybe later. <3
