Beads in Bed

Don't worry, I'm not really beading in bed. But I'm networking from bed, and that means I'm going through pictures and uploading them. Glad today is not so great out, otherwise I'd feel bad about having to stay indoors with the sniffles. I've found a lot of great blogs and bloggers today! Very happy about that.

Anyway, I promised a few days ago that I'd post some pictures of the owl things I've been doing. Here they are:

Yesterday afternoon when we were out, I managed to get to a little store in Watertown, called Dream Beads, that I've been trying to visit since early this summer when I discovered that it was there. It's a fantastic little store with a brilliant inventory, very helpful staff, and many fabulous classes and events going on all the time. Their prices are competitive, very reasonable. (Check out their website! They do internet orders!)

I fell in love with so many things, but could only afford a lovely handful. Here's a sneak peak:

Carved rose beads; gold-plated maple leaf findings; fire agate rounds; Swarovski-like rondelles; snakeskin jasper and Picasso jasper beads; and yet more fire agate rounds. I really adore fire agate. The texture is so velvety smooth and natural looking.

I haven't been able to do anything with them yet (which may be a blessing in disguise) because of flu, but I can't wait to play with them!

Anyhow, rest now... Beads maybe later. <3
